Have you ever had a legal question that you felt embarrassed to ask? Have you ever handled a case that involved an area of the law in which you were not fully familiar? On your way to your first deposition and not exactly sure what to do? Would you like to have answers to your legal questions available free of charge, 24 hours a day, seven days a week?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then Ten Minute Mentor is the answer for you! The Texas Young Lawyer Association, in conjunction with TexasBarCLE, is proud to announce the online debut of Ten Minute Mentor (http://www.tenminutementor.com). Ten Minute Mentor is an online library accessible 24 hours a day seven days a week where you can view short (approximately ten minute) video segments presented by experienced practitioners covering a wide variety of relevant legal topics.

Whether you want to learn more about a particular area of substantive law, improve critical practice skills, acquire law office management pointers, or hone personal and professional development skills, all of these topics are covered in easy-to-digest video or audio segments of ten minutes or less, which are accessible at any time free of charge at www.tenminutementor.com.

Currently, over 100 video segments are available for viewing on the Ten Minute Mentor website. Topics including Petitions for Review in the Texas Supreme Court by Justice Nathan Hecht, Taking Your First Deposition by David Whittlesey, Professionalism in the Court by Judge John Woolridge and Lawyers Role in Society by Joe Jamail are all available for review free of charge 24 hours a day.

Ten Minute Mentor is intended to provide beneficial and relevant information to all of Texas' young lawyers (and older lawyers for that matter). While the current library contains a wide array of legal topics, Ten Minute Mentor will continue to improve and expand over time with the constant addition of new relevant segments. Should you recognize a specific topic or topic area you feel would be beneficial to Texas' young lawyers, we welcome your suggestions. Topic suggestions can be made directly via the Ten Minute Mentor website (www.tenminutementor.com) or via the TYLA homepage (www.TYLA.org).
