Secrest Not Wasting Any Time
This month's featured leader is Jamey Secrest, President of the Bell County Young Lawyers Association. After graduating from High School in 1990, Jamey went to Texas Christian University, where he obtained a Bachelor of Arts in English with a History minor. Jamey graduated from TCU in 1994. By now most, if not all of you, have seen the campaign launched by the United States Chamber of Commerce against our civil justice system. The Chamber's advertising campaign consists of television ads designed to impugn the integrity of our civil justice system and in particular, trial lawyers, juries and our courts. The ads claim that consumer lawsuits against business are clogging the courts and unreasonably raising the price of products... What the ads do not mention are the facts.
