New Resource for Teachers
Focuses on Law Related Education Programs

The State Bar's Law Related Education (LRE) department has long been a resource for educators wanting quality legal and civics programming for the classroom. Now, with grant funding from Law Focused Education Inc.,the LRE department has unveiled a new website that expands its reach to educators and students. (continued)

Have you ever considered ordering a specialty license plate for your vehicle? Specialty plates are a terrific way to support a worthy cause and distinguish you from the crowd. The "And Justice for All" specialty plate, sponsored by the Texas Young Lawyers Association, is a prime example. Proceeds from the sales of the plate benefit civil legal services to the poor, while the owner receives a great looking plate with a distinctively Texas flare.

It has been estimated that 65 to 70 percent of all Texans in poverty need legal help but are unable to get it. As lawyers, it is incumbent on us to strive to ensure access to justice for all our citizens. As a long-time supporter of programs that help provide legal services to the poor, TYLA developed its specialty license plate as one simple way to help alleviate this problem. (more info)
